Introduced in 1937, Ballerina is a very profusely blooming rose of restrained habit. Expect hundreds of small, 2”, pink, single blooms with a white eye borne in huge clusters to drench this bush in blossoms. She is a pollinator favorite, produces beautiful hips, grows well in pots or beds, emits a sweet honey fragrance, and makes an excellent cut flower. Truly an overachiever!

Happy so far

Planted my Ballerina late last summer in the NY North Country. Loved the potted roots, new growth immediately. Lots of new growth in the spring and our very hot and humid summer. Lots of flowers and very nice light scent.
Very pleased with the rose, can't wait to see what next year brings.

Very Healthy Rose

First year Spring planting resulted in a healthy 2’ x 3’ rose with several blooms. The bees loved it all Summer and Fall. Winter toasted the canes a bit but it appears to be surging back strong.

Sweet little rose

Ballerina was a Fall planting about 3 weeks ago. She had only a couple of leaves but is now fully leaved out. No blooms yet probably because of an 8 day rainy and cool period. She's healthy and growing quickly.

Tough girl!

I had a Ballerina years ago but ended up in too much shade. She lasted for many years. I looked for a long time to replace her and was not able to locate her. I was so excited to find her again and ordered her right away. Has leafed out beautifully and already has many buds - can't wait to see them!
