Compassion® produces the most beautiful, large, fully double, 4” blooms in a lovely shade of apricot, copper and gold. The flowers are profuse and cascade down this continually blooming Climber. Compassion® can be grown as a Shrub if preferred. We love her for her marvelous honey and peach fragrance and we aren’t alone! Compassion® is one of the RNRS winners of the Edland Medal for fragrance. She is an excellent choice for the cutting garden.

Receive the rose in september. Planted, a few days before hurricane milton hit our shores here in florida. I thought all the flooding might kill the rose bush, but within a few days, it was putting out new growth and started blooming. The first few blooms were very small, but since then it has not stopped blooming and it has not stopped growing. The flowers have increased in size. The fragrance is heavenly. This rose is a keeper
I’ve had this rose for 8 years and while it took off beautifully as soon as planted, in the last several years it’s become the star of my late spring garden. I love the color that goes from dark pink buds to pale coral-pink flowers with a yellow center when fully open. In my recently reclassified zone 7A garden, with my method of benign neglect, it has canes that easily cover the 7’ foot arch nearby. In late May it is covered with fragrant flowers. Once they fade, I can expect intermittent blooms for the rest of summer. Give this rose a nice spot and fasten your seatbelt.
Arrived with green healthy defoliated canes per usual. Planted in ground during a bad heat spell (I know, not smart!) here in Zone 8B Central Texas end of October BUT...end of Dec 2023 gorgeous new growth, foliage, and 2 huge blooms. Blooms easily 5 inches across, a gorgeous bright pinkish gold color and the scent...perfection..strong, sweet, floral! 1 barely opened bloom can be smelled several feet away. Stunning.
Compassion gave me a few blooms first year, but exploded and shot up a huge cane to near six feet so far in her second year! I may have to move her in years to come. Color shifts beautifully and her scent is heavenly!
