This rose is doing great in my 9b garden. Thriving despite total neglect. It's the first to bloom and blooms continually in flushes until late fall. Its heavenly scent fills the entire garden whenever it's in bloom. A vigorous grower, it can reach almost 5-6 ft if not pruned. Gets some blackspot from the humidity, which is common in our coastal area but recovers easily.
This a beautiful old rose, however it does not do well above Zone 7-8. It blooms best in autumn. Not sure why it is listed as hardy to zone 10 on this site, possibly it's a typo. FYI for warmer zone buyers.
Kind regards,
Gera
This plant has really taken off. No repeat bloom yet, but it did bloom generously this Spring. It had to wait several months in a container before I could access the garden site due to overdue construction. But it has really settled in and put out an amazing amount of growth in just two weeks. I may get a second flush in the fall but I am content for it to spend the rest of the season getting established.
The loose form of this pink rose is lovely. It has a delicious scent and repeat bloom. Give it a try.
