Hot Cocoa hot 1st summer!

My Hot Cocoa was planted 10 weeks ago. (Late May) Temperatures soon reached mid 90’s without a break and I was worried it would struggle to get a start from a bare little stick to this. Zone 6 Michigan. It’s absolutely exploding with growth and stunning blooms. Every new bud is getting larger. It’s producing more and more buds. Gaining height with strong new growth. Smells so good.

Lovely and healthy!

I did not know what to expect because I have not had good luck ordering roses online. The rose is healthy and green and I can't wait to see it bloom!

I am currently growing two in containers. These beauties overwintered in an enclosed porch, zone 5-Maine. They really are show stoppers. One took a hit with black spot and fungal issues during spring but has bounced beautifully. Get her while she’s hot😉
