This Lyda rose bush is so pretty & surprisingly tough!

My growing Lyda rose is nearly 3 yrs old and the blooms are so pretty! It loves my partially shady backyard. It's even survived Helene and super cold winters here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's one tough beauty!

Lyda rose is one of my faves!

I live in Albuquerque (zone 7b) and Lydas absolutely thrive here. They’ll go from 1 foot to 3 feet high in a year, with a spread of almost 4 feet. I have 2 bushes that are in an area that gets 3-4 hours of hot afternoon sun only (shaded the rest of the day), and they’re still happy and thriving (though not quite as prolific as the ones in more sun.) I’ve also found that in cooler weather and/or more shade, the flowers are more pink, sometimes almost hot pink before slowly fading. If you are looking for an easy, low care, constantly blooming and apple-blossom sweet smelling rose, I can’t recommend Lyda rose enough!
