Obsidian is a Bearded Iris that makes a huge statement when planted in front of bright evergreen shrubs. Her deep purple to nearly black flowers create a stark contrast as she grows to 33”. Obsidian is deer-resistant and an early season bloomer ready to welcome dramatic color to the garden!

Obsidian is sold in packs of 3 for fall planting.

Planting Instructions: 

  1. Choose an area that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight and has good drainage.

  2. Plant with the rhizome’s top exposed at the surface of the soil and firmly pack the soil around each rhizome.

  3. Space Iris rhizomes 12-24” apart.

  4. Water after planting and continue watering at least once a week for the remainder of the growing season.
