I have had this rose in my garden for about 9 years now. I live outside of Atlanta Georgia. This rose has gotten to about ten feet tall (because of the weird weather this year I didn't get around to pruning it fully in time) and its just HUGE. It throws out arms for sure. Blooms two or three times a season for me and smells lovely. I've had hardly any issues with black spot on it. Very hardy for me.The only issue I have had, is one year a tree was shading it too much and the blooms were a bit small that year. Since letting in more light, the blooms are back to their normal size. LOVE this rose. IF you have issues with roses in the humid south east, I would try this one.
Planted Parfuma Summer Romance around August 1, and by April 5 it’s already a standout. Beautiful color and an amazing scent, perfectly between classic rose and fruity. It didn’t bloom much last year, but now it’s thriving and blooming well.
This one was also planted 3 weeks ago. Used their cow manure and mint compost with rose soil. We do frost cover new roses for anything under 42 degrees. They get full afternoon sun her in Florida's central west coast.
