This rose bloomed two weeks after planting and hasn’t slowed downed! I really enjoy the fragrance of this one!
I have 4 of these bushes and they're all doing quite well in Charlotte, NC. These roses open hot pink, but turn a crayon purple within a day. They're absolutely stunning! I took pictures with a royal purple crayon just to prove how purple they really are. I have several purple rose varieties in my garden, but these are my favorite purple.
I have purchased several Heirloom roses including Rhapsody in Blue. Shortly after we planted her, I had to have a major repair to my dominant rotator cuff and was out of "gardening commission" for several months. When I finally found poor Rhapsody, she was a tiny stump about 1" tall. I nearly cried! I dug her up and saw that her roots looked strong so I put her into a pot to give her a lot of TLC. Eventually, sure enough, new canes began to appear! I have replanted her in one of my raised rose beds and she is alive and well and blooming like crazy! Lest I should forget to say, this is only her second year.
It brings out all my romantic feelings when i walk by this rose
