I was hesitant to purchase as I was unfamiliar with this in person but this has become one of my favorites. It goes so well with the rest I purchased. The season has not started but I still remember the distinct fragrance of this rose. They look a darker in my indoor light.
I adore this rose, we bought it and put it in 2 years ago and we didn’t get much growth year 1, it exploded its 2nd year! Threw off a 13’ cane and was absolutely loaded in flowers, the flowers themselves were absolutely stunning, they smell like a sugar cookie to me, sweet with just a hint of almond extract. It does get some good thorns on it, like many climbers, but it’s well worth the thorns to have such absolutely gorgeous flowers. We’re moving and I’m determined to either dig it up and bring it with me, or place an order for a new one because I refuse to be without it!
One of the prettiest soft, creamy pinks and apricots mixes I’ve ever seen and I have had many varieties of apricots, pinks, and yellow roses over the years and multiple moves. You won’t be sorry to get this one! She’s just a gorgeous rose and very hardy
David Austin roses rarely disappoint, even if they can be sensitive to southern humidity. My first year Wollerton has been surprisingly healthy and has produced several breathtaking roses already. I might need another!
This rose has taken a while to acclimate. After giving me 2 spectacular roses she went quiet. It became very hot and humid and she started to wilt. It seems that the more perfumed roses in my collection are more thirsty than the others. Given a good soaking she bounced back and is sending up new flowers. I can barely wait to see all the blooms.
