  • Alchymist is a delightful apricot to golden-yellow rose with fully double, old-fashioned blooms. Wonderfully fragrant, she is a vigorous plant with shiny bronze-green foliage that may be grown as a Shrub Rose or a Climber. Alchymist is a once blooming plant but her prolific flowers exude a strong fragrance making her a show-stopper when in bloom.

Unbelievably fragrant, glorious rose

I knew that the own root roses would be unimpressive upon arrival, and at one year, they were still spindly and fragile-looking. The second spring has been awe-inspiring! The new canes are the girth of my husband's thumb, and the dozens of blooms are so fragrant I can smell them several steps away. The display has been going for weeks! Don't hesitate!

I got alchemist in December 2023. I planted it in 2024. I really did not expect to see any balloons but this year I have blooms and they are so amazingly gorgeous. I have never seen or smelt anything like it in my life I love this Rose

Looking forward to Spring 2025

I planted my Alchemist Rose in September of 2023. It has been steadily growing since, and has proved to be a healthy rose. I did have a few blooms this past Spring (2024) and they were beautiful! I live in Zone 8 where it can be very hot and humid. Not surprisingly, the rose responded by losing a lot of leaves to black spot, but it didn’t take much for it to recover when temperatures cooled. I have been pleased, thus far, with Alchemist, and look forward to enjoying this climbing rose for years to come.
