Alexander Mackenzie is a fun, happy rose baby. I can’t wait to see him mature. These blooms, while small, are the longest lasting of all my roses and a vigorous repeat bloomer.

Planted this late April 2023 in central Maine. It has been an interesting growing season here and very wet spring. This rose, though still small has tripled in size in just a few short months and already prolifically putting out many full size hot pink blooms that hold their shape well. They are gorgeous bouquet cut stem quality, although I won't cut just yet due to it's still small size (it's put on lots of growth, but I did just plant it this year after all). Lovely light fruity/raspberry rose scent. I am so pleased with it. Very easy keeper and hardy. Great beginner rose. Note: I did fertilize with an all purpose fertilizer exactly one month post planting after I noticed it putting out leaf buds and shoots, signifying roots were established. Highly recommend!

This rose was a tiny thing that did almost nothing for several seasons in my garden. Stayed about 12 inches, with few, tiny blooms. Suddenly, it's showing itself and has rapidly matured into a short climber that is trained on an obelisk now. Don't be discouraged if your rose doesn't seem to do much at first. It looks great after having time to mature. I would add a photo, but do not see an option for that.

This is a hardy plant that is great is cold climate. Beautiful flowers with a wonderful smell.
