Most memorable!

I saw and smelled this rose at Kew Gardens 20 years ago. It was heavenly; disease-free, extraordinarily Fragrant. And the fully opened flowers were bigger than my palm, probably 5-6" in diameter!!
My propagator friend risked arrest and brought cuttings back to the USA, but the several day delay must have gotten to them (or they knew they were illegal!) and they did not root.
I was thinking about this rose the other day and decided to see if HR carried it. Not in stock at the moment, but U put it on my "notify" list.
Cant wait, and thank you HR for fulfilling a 20 year old wish!!!

Exceptional in Tennessee

I am living in zone 6b Tennessee, with very hot and humid summers and Arctic vortex in winter. I do not spray my roses as I cook jams with rose petals. This one resists to black spot and flowers continuously since last 10 years. Incredible fragrance and unusual purplish red color.
