I’m in zone 8b. Hot, drought prone SW Louisiana. The roses that do well here are knock out roses. My mom loves roses and I wanted to get her something a little different as a gift.
I waited until a full season before I made this review. I put in 3 Cassie shrub roses last spring. They came looking kind of sad, just a few twigs. But within a few weeks, they exploded with growth and bloomed all summer into fall. I did very little supplemental watering. I fertilized with alfalfa when I put them in, but that was all. I did not spray. They did get some spots. But we did not mind. I trimmed off the worst parts a few times over the season, but they continued to bloom profusely.
Over the winter we had a particularly hard freeze that took out a lot of my mom’s perennials. We are almost starting from scratch. But these little roses survived! I’m honestly astonished. They are already putting out buds and it’s March. They are full of green leaves and look awesome. All three survived the freeze and the drought last summer and look healthy,
I will fertilize again with alfalfa and some epson salts- but plan on doing very little with them. I mostly plan on replacing the purple salvia I had planted around them (beautiful combo).
Bonus- the little bees and butterflies appreciated them. We always try to plant with pollinators in mind. So we were happy these roses worked for that purpose too.

I bought this rose amongst others because it is the name of my younger daughter.i did not know what to expect . to my surprise, it blooms continuously with these white dainty flowers in clusters. Currently I have it in a pot, maybe when it is a year old I will transplant. I may buy one or two more.

Beautiful & dantiy white flowers covering the entire bush. I received in early August, no foliage at all & in less than 3 weeks she had exploded with tons of leafs & buds everywhere. Since then she's been continuously blooming. Truthfully I bought this rose because of the name. My sister's name is Cassie so I got it for her along withe the Desire'e rose (my name.) I am usually not one for small roses, I prefer large 4-6in blooms with the double/cupped or pointed look & fragrant BUT this rose has proven to be a very beautiful bush & can hold her own with the best of them. I've had no issues since I received her & I must say she has become one of my faves in my rose garden even with her tiney tiny flowers lol. Also I've noticed that the honey bees love this rose for some reason. They visit her quite often compared to the other 64 roses I currently have. Can't wait to see how she does next year when she's more established. Currently have her potted & she's thriving.

Such a beautiful rose bush with the cutest tiny little white flowers. I am usually not one for the small roses but I do love this one & bonus, has the same name as my sister so that makes it extra special. Can't wait to see it grow next season.
