This rose is incredible. We had a harsh winter (Vancouver, BC) where lots died. We thought the cinquo was dead so we tossed it in the compost, but later in the season we found it was growing, so we re-potted it. It flowered! Then, last winter, we had it in a pot on our roof that we didn’t realize wasn’t draining properly. The cinquo was drowning all winter. We rescued it, and now (July) it has dozens of blooms and is our best performing rose (better than some disappointing David As). The colour is stunning. The fragrance is lovely. This thing is a phenomenon! I realize I sound like a terrible, negligent gardener. I will take the hit to tell folks what a winner this flower be.
Absolutely love this rose! My son's birthday is May 5th, so I bought it in his honor. The color is spectacular and bloomed much more than I expected in it's first season.
I love Cinco de Mayo! When there's wind it's like butterflies and the color changes are beautiful. Just waiting for HR to get them in stock to order more!
I planted Cinco de Mayo on April 15 in a huge pot. It took awhile to figure out where the pot would get enough sun. As of today it is healthy and has 4 small buds. I’m so looking forward to the blooms
