I live in zone 7 southeast New Mexico and we get some brutal heat. Two years ago i planted two Eden climbers on my pergola and they get all of the afternoon sun and heat. They have thrived despite it and have reached the top at 8 ft and now are climbing over the top!! I love this rose, as elegant and delicate as their large blissoms appear this rose is a tough cookie!
I ordered a Pretty in Pink Eden, but received regular Eden instead. Customer Service has addressed the problem for me so all is well. She has been healthy and I have had about a half dozen blooms so far, which is pretty good for just 2 months. Her blooms are quite large and a beautiful color. She is not scented, but that's stated in the rose information and not a deal breaker for me personally so not an issue. She's the fastest grower out of the 4 roses I bought from Heirloom this year. Lots of healthy basal breaks. I will order the Pretty in Pink as well, but have to wait until next year as I am in zone 5a and it is too hot in July and August to plant but September doesn't give enough time for new roses to establish before frost. Hopefully PIP Eden is just as healthy and vigorous.
All five of the Eden Climbing Roses I ordered arrived is excellent condition and ready to plant. Two months later, they are thriving in my garden.
I got Eden climber rose from Heirloom on October 2024 but I just plant it in the front of my house on 12 March 2025. The bud of flower came out right after I plant it in the ground, but I cut it off to let the plant grow more. Now 3months passed. She has a beauitful flowers. I'm so in love with this rose. Rose lover should have one in the garden.
