I have had her in a container for a little over a month and already have a bloom! Look at her! She's more on the golden orange right now but I expect that to change in time. Pests love her! I've sprayed her with Dawn and water a few times after sundown and that has helped. I also have some lady bugs on order to tackle the issue. She is going to be a great climber for the front of my house. I've been fertilizing with Foxfarm GROW BIG and planted her in FoxFarm Ocean Blend and Frog soil. The roses just love it. These are my first roses and they arrived so healthy. Even my long-time rose growing neighbor is impressed. Her fragrance is also lovely. Thank you, Heirloom Roses, for such healthy plants.
My mom has loved this rose for years. Her established rose bush didn't fare well this winter (upstate NY, zone 5b) so I was lucky enough to find several large DA plants covered in buds. I now have two and she has hers blooming prolifically in a large pot on her patio. The scent is PHENOMENAL and the layers of petals and golden tones is so unique and lovely.
