John Franklin blooms generously from summer through fall. The deep crimson buds are carried in clusters of up to 30 and open to masses of frilly, vibrant red blooms. Backed by matte green foliage that is resistant to disease, the fragrant flowers soften to a lovely dark pink with age. Double blooms, with 25 petals, the rose is hardy to zone 3.
