Lady Of Shalott (pronounced shuh·lot) is prized by rose lovers and considered to be one of the best David Austin Roses for her remarkable flower performance and disease resistance. Her young buds of vibrant, orange-red open to form chalice-shaped flowers filled with loosely arranged petals of salmon pink with a golden-yellow reverse. The flowers are deliciously fragrant with the scent of warm tea and hints of spiced apples and cloves. Lady of Shalott quickly forms a large, bushy shrub with slightly arching stems and mid-green foliage. She is a must-have for the cutting garden and thrives in zones 4-11! If you had to pick just one David Austin Rose, this might be the one!

At two years old, my Lady is a massive, thriving display of fragrant 4” roses that has been blooming prolifically all summer, Truly the focal point of my rose garden.
I live in the Chicagoland area ( zone 5b) and have had issues with my roses from here. planted late April in a place that gets good light- a deer munched it down in late May and it grew back very nicely. Today i got my first bloom and it is Stunning! The petals have little dimples and its just beautiful. If it doesn't bloom again all year i will still be amazed
I started with these simply because I love their color displayed here. I got 3 shipped a couple months ago and they looked great all neatly boxed and trimmed. I repotted them in a vegetable garden mix with my addition of sand to create an easier drain as I know roses don’t like wet roots, I live in western WA and it rains plenty! I have cut back a lot more after buds have started sprouting. They have just bloomed this week and have a few smaller buds emerging. They are amazing and even my husband enjoys their beauty. He says they look like sherbert. I can’t wait for them to grow bushier with many more blossoms to decor my sad salad yard with.
The bush arrived as promised. It had several blooms when it arrived and has continued to bloom! Very Happy.
