I’m in zone 9b, and this is a prolific and beautiful bloomer! Very fragrant and has surpassed the size given. Mine is about 8 ft tall!!!
This rose bloomed within 2 weeks in Oregon and has not stopped blooming since.
Heat & humidity of Texas Zone 9a doesn't deter this gorgeous rose from producing its multi-colored blooms on a repeat basis! It has a delicious fragrance and its foliage has proven to be hearty in spite of our heat waves. Plan to purchase several more for my side yard to create a hedge affect with these lovely roses as soon as they become available.
My Maurice Utrillo is growing happily in his pot here in Zone 9b Florida. He took a little while to adjust to the heat here and was slow to get started when I planted him at the beginning of July, but now (mid-August) he has produced at least six blooms and is growing happily. My blooms so far have been striped mostly red and pink, but with the most recent blooms the yellow is starting to come in. The fragrance rounds out the overall effect beautifully.
I potted this rose with a mix of Heirloom Living soul, organic potting mix, Heirloom Bone Meal, some leftover mycorrhizal fungi, and topped it with Heirloom Mint Compost. I watered it in with Vitamin B1 transplant fertilizer and I use Heirloom Founders Fish fertilizer every other week.
