In year two, this rose bush is a solid six feet tall with consistent deadheading. She’s vigorous and full, blooming nonstop in clusters from top to bottom. Early in the spring, her flowers were cupped and deep pink. As the summer got hotter, they’ve become pale pink and almost peony-like with tons of petals opening into a pompom. The Japanese beetles adore the blossoms but leave the foliage alone. With regular treatment, the pest situation stays under control.
My Olivia rose is flourishing. Very strong and disease resistant foliage. I would like to inquire if anyone else has noticed that their Olivia rose is not as bright pink as the pictures on the website? Mine are a pale pale pink, although very lovely.
Beautiful disease resistant rose, Leaves are beautiful all season and blooms all season for me in 7A Pennsylvania. One of my favorites, so much so I planted more.
I got two DA roses in the mid of November. They did not have any leaves. A month later both roses are double in size and have buds! Olivia Austin is one of them. I keep them inside under grow lights till spring. This is my first year of experimenting with roses inside the house. Hope to see their first bloom soon! Will definetely buy more.
