What hasn't my poor Paloma Blanca endured in her two years with me? She got dug up by my neighbor's Lab her first year and got run over by the lawn mower by my 10-year-old grandson later that year. Lawn mowers have it in for her; my son-in-law also ran her over. I finally moved her; she was next to my overly blooming and gigantic Flamenco Rosita, so she was easy to get overlooked and run over. She's now with more manageable rose bushes and growing and blooming beautifully. Her blooms are exquisite; they're just as pictured and open up to an even larger size as they mature, lasting several days. So far, no signs of disease and pest-free. She's definitely a tough cookie and a beauty!
I purchased this rose in 2019. It continually produces beautiful white roses.,It’s a hardy bush, has made it through 95 degree weather in the summer, and 8 degree weather this past winter. I would recommend to anyone who loves white roses. I transplanted it from a pot to the ground early this spring and it is growing rapidly. Very happy with this rose.
Slow start the first year but took off like a rocket the 2nd year. The plant is still small - less than 2x2 - but full of GORGEOUS fragrant flowers. The form of the flower is exactly like the picture on the HR site. One of my favorite roses (even though I have so many favorites right now...)
I have a white garden in North Atlanta, 7a and planted this potted stick late October. Our falls are mild, but not this year. Right after planting this rose, the weather turned freezing at night with monsoon like flooding rains all day. It went on like that for weeks. I mulched heavily and prayed.
After a few weeks of wet visits daily, and offering words of encouragement (begging), I have a healthy, leafed out rose with three brave little blooms. Their heads are struggling to stand up but I’ll take it over black canes and spotty yellow leaves. Heck, I’m thrilled it even has leaves after what it’s been through. This rose is definitely smaller than normal but it is strong.
Hardy is an understatement. I’d say this rose is more like bullet proof. Bravo, Paloma Blanca and Heirloom Roses! I’m very impressed, as usual.
