    Named after David Austin's wife, this is an entirely new color break in English roses: a bright copper on the inside of the petals, with pale copper-yellow on the outer sides. The 4 1/2" flowers are large and deeply cupped, so that we get contrasting colors on the two sides of the petals, giving a most attractive effect. The fragrance is a strong tea/clove scent. Repeat blooming.

Fantastic! Best rose EVER!

We are in zone 6b and this rose was a gift to me. The fragrance is simply intoxicating! GORGEOUS as a cut flower in the house and makes our entire house smell so wonderful! This is a stunning beauty in the garden or in a vase! I don't know that I'll ever love a rose more than this one! Simply perfect!

Beauty, fragrance, form, multi-colored warmth and brilliance

After 3 years, I loved but lost this rose during a construction project. I concur with all points in the review by Rosepatty and also grew it in a 24" pot which permits more enjoyment of the rose up close and rotating it in the sun to enhance its growth and bloom. Austin must have really loved his wife to give her name to this particular rose when all his roses are so outstanding and healthy. It thrived living in pot. I used 3-in-1 systemic rose food and a bit of manure in winter (Washington DC). His rose Tamora is similar.

I love this rose!

I love the combination of coppery orange and yellow-gold that blend together like a watercolor painting, and I love the cupped form of these very distinctive flowers. I never spray with pesticide or fungicide, and the plant that I've had for many years is healthy and has been thriving in a pot that is 22 inches in diameter by 15 inches tall. The flower stems droop like a tea rose, so it is good to have the plant in a pot, to raise the flowers closer to eye level. The new plant that I got from Heirloom a couple of months ago as a small band has grown very rapidly and has many flower buds. .
