  • Other Details
  • Bred by the famous French rose breeders, Moreau-Robert, and named to honor our president upon his death in 1865, Souvenir du Président Lincoln produces beautiful, fully double, old-fashioned blooms of 80+ petals with a powerful perfume to rival that of Mme Isaac Pereire. His coloring is a lovely, crimson pink with darker shading. This vigorous, upright bush with greyish-green, matte foliage is a repeat-bloomer.

Stunning in Western Colorado!

I planted this rose in a large container in late spring of 2024. Shortly thereafter he suffered a Colorado hale storm that destroyed the rest of my garden and stripped all roses of their leaves. I was afraid that the stress would kill the plant, but he held on and gave me a couple blooms by the end of summer. A thorough mulching through winter and care during spring 2025 has resulted in the most gorgeous plant! Fragrant, bright, and full. A real head-turner in my yard. I will be adding another to my collection soon.

Excellent choice in Oregon

The plant started small. The following year, it grew fast and soon became as large as a climber. It blooms repeatedly in Oregon and survived the "river of rain" in the winter.

Absolutely LOVE this rose!

I'm having a second flush of non-stop blooms and it's mid July. This is the second summer for this fabulous rose! It must love where its planted because its doing so well! This is THE rose for fragrance. It's how a rose should smell. Heavenly!!! I'd include a picture but my camera photographs this rose as a neon pink.

Florida heat hasn’t killed it!!

I was really skeptical but the plant arrived and after allowing it to acclimate in a shaded area, I planted it in full sun. It seems to be thriving!! Leafing out and with some extra watering (we are in a dry period-unusual for Florida in the summer) growth seems very hopeful!! I’m impressed. Can’t wait for blooms!!
