One of the hardiest and most beautiful of roses, Stanwell Perpetual has a wonderfully strong fragrance. He is a graceful, arching shrub with ample foliage of grey-green leaves which create a lovely backdrop for the fully double, quartered, 3” blooms with a petal count of 45+ per blossom. Stanwell Perpetual has a delightful soft apricot-to-blush pink coloring and will bloom in repeat flushes during the season.

absolutely lovely

I should have planted this rose in the ground rather than in a smallish pot, but it lived for a couple of years for me anyway. I would definitely get it again. I would plant it at a distance from any doors or paths, because it's extremely thorny, but the flowers are wonderful. Highly recommended.

Zone 9. Received my little leafless slip of a Stanwell Perpetual in February. Followed planting instructions to the letter. By April 7 it was a fully blooming little rosebush! (It's in a container to avoid the ravages of gophers.) I have waited several years for this plant to be available, and I am so happy to have it. As I expected, it's a sweet, modest looking rose with incomparable scent.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this rose. I am in a climate Fl. zone 10b that is not necessarily the most friendly to Stanwell and have lost a few of him in the past. Nothing to do with the quqlity of the roses from Heirloom since their plants are very healthy specimens. The form and fragrance are amazing, it performs well and blooms quite frequently; I do keep mine in a pot. It may get a bit of blackspot in hot humid weather but it will regrow its nice ferny looking leaves again. Highly recommend....

Go Getter

We've had this rose for a few years now. She blooms beautifully and grows at incredible rates, despite persecution from a puppy who thought she was fun to chew on (. . . ??). We have her in a north-side bed under a window of the house (theorizing that the thorns could potentially deter intruders) where she gets sun from early afternoon thru evening.
