  • Literary lovers need this sweet, fruit-scented rose in their garden collection. The soft apricot and peach-colored English blooms are reminiscent of James and the Giant Peach and are continuously in bloom. This rose is a medium shrub that is incredibly robust, disease resistant, and nearly thornless. Roald Dahl can be planted in containers, borders, hedges, and even slightly shady locations.

A tried and true favorite

This is my second Roald Dahl. And I want a few more. Highly disease resistant, beautiful healthy leaves with vigorous growth. I love the bright green of these new shoots. For me, in Zone 7a, the color is a pretty pale apricot. Just love this rose in my garden!

Year 2 in zone 7B

I love him. His flowers are charming, ranging from a peach to pale yellow (paler during hot months here in NC and increasing peachy tone as it has cooled). Beautiful growth habit, lower to ground without long canes needing to be trained all the time. Good disease resistance for me without commercial sprays- just copper and horticultural oil and RoseTone a few times throughout the season. Great cut flower, smaller blooms of about 2-3" across. Lovely scent, not super strong but definitely noticeable.
