I received this rose in 2009 as Mother’s Day gift. It has never failed to impress. Every year it continues to bloom throughout the season. It has survived hard winters and dry summers successfully. It is in full bloom now.
Easy to care for. Absolutely beautiful! I’m not good with plants so I followed the directions and am so happy with the results.
There are two Betty Boop roses planted in front of my house here in Zone 9b that are 10+ years old. They were planted before we owned the house, but they are super low maintenance and bloom continuously year round, until they get cut back each winter. Yesterday, I just pruned back the suckers, which return year after year on one of the shrubs. This is a hardy rose and people love the duo-tone. It's not my favorite color combination and I find myself removing spider webs from the roses in hot weather, but its hardiness and continually blooming nature has spared it from any decision to pull it out and re-do our landscaping.
I chose this rose for my garden in Bend OR , Zone 6-ish, because it was a favorite of my good friend back In Lubbock TX, Zone 7. I wasn’t sure how it would do in the colder climate. It hasn’t overwintered yet but so far is gorgeous. Planted in May, it already has bloomed profusely twice. The color gradients of orange and pink are stunning especially with a backdrop of blue spruce.
