Wowzers is all I can say about this rose! What a hidden and underrated gem this rose is! I've never heard of this rose before and I think it's exclusive for sale at Heirloom Roses only. I ordered it because I wanted small neat compact fragrant roses for my apartment patio garden. Out of my 20 roses I currently have, this is one of my favorites. It's Beautiful color with high petal count looks elegant and luxurious, It's symmetrical small compact shape is perfect for pots and small spaces. It has an Intense sweet fruity hard candy like fragrance.
Full stop, this rose is the most amazing thing I've ever beheld! I live in zone 6B in Virginia, and have close to 40 roses. If I had found this one sooner, I wouldn't have had to buy the rest! How to describe perfection? This rose is a dream come true. Am I even awake right now? My husband says this rose is the real life version of the impossibly flawless rose in Beauty and the Beast. Full, luscious, deeply cupped blooms with a plethora of petals in the loveliest, most saturated shade of bubblegum pink. The fragrance, you ask? I've been hunting for "the most deliciously fragrant rose" for years. After enjoying the enormous three blooms of "Discovery," I've finally found it, and I understand at last the true meaning of the words "heady perfume." It's the best fragrance I've ever come across in a flower or a perfume, period. My sense of smell is extremely sensitive, which means I can detect every fine note. The blooms have a "true rose" scent with lingering fruity notes. The three blooms really do fill the entire living room with fragrance, and hold it for many days. Buy it now! The pictures don't do it justice. It's far more lovely in real life, and the fragrance will knock your socks off.
Very good! It grows very fast. I planted it on March31. Only took one month before 2 beautiful flowers bloom and 1 more is preparing to bloom.I am a beginner and never planted roses before. It still grows very well. I highly recommend this rose. I live in Los Angeles.
This is a good grower but it keeps blackspot. I tried the Neem Oil they sell but it didn't work. I finally gave in and used Bayer 2-in-1 Systemic Rose and Flower Care Granules, which has helped, but still I have to pick off leaves. Also, bugs seem to love this rose. Sometimes a bud gets eaten right in half. Meanwhile I have 11 other roses, none of which have these issues. So much for my intention of organic gardening...
