One of my favorites, it didn't get very tall but it had lots of blooms during the first year.
I ordered this Golden Unicorn and four others this spring and received delivery on May 31, 2023. I live in Montana, Zone 4. I planted the roses on June 1, as directed, not expecting blooms until at least August. However this beautiful Golden Unicorn had other ideas! Just 30-days after planting, it has already had 6 blooms and has buds set for more. It is planted on my irrigation line and receives water every other day. I have just fed it liquid fish emulsion for the second time and will continue to feed them every 30 days. I wanted to submit a photo but didn’t see any way to do it. The other four roses I received and planted are all leafed and budded out and will soon be sharing their beauty. I’m so pleased with my first Heirloom Roses!! (7-1-2023)
Had this rose for 11 years, and it generally is vigorous and beautiful bloomer. Occasionally plagued by blackspot in the late summer, but bounces back. The roses look almost like a smaller hybrid tea, very pointed, and look pretty in arrangements. We just had a rough spring with unusually high rainfall and storms (hail!) and this rose has really take a hit. But, so has everything else in my garden, and I amazed it's still here! I've seen this rose weather -30 degrees, feet of snow, and long, hot, dry summers. I would highly recommend.
