  • Other Details
  • We named this lovely shrub rose to honor a wonderful English gentleman who is the world's expert on old roses. Peter Beales™ is a nicely perfumed, single, rich crimson-red bloom with a pronounced golden eye. Flowers cover the rounded, densely foliage bush all season. His rich, dark green foliage provides a perfect contrasting background for the lovely blooms.

Beautiful single rose

We just moved to a new house, which has no plantings. I planted two Peter Beales in front of the porch. They're so lovely! And the bees love them, as well. Managing my (amended) clay soil fine, so far. And no mildew or black spot even in our humid climate.

Beautiful

I gave this rose to my mother because we moved very quickly and she loves the deep red color but if you live in Illinois be forwarned it has grown to about 7 ft and about 4 or 5 feet wide. All the neighbors walking love it. A couple of my david Austins also are huge way larger than predicted. Guess she has good soil. Lol
