In 1997 'New Dawn' was voted the most popular rose in the world at the 11th World Convention of Rose Societies, and she deserves it. She produces silvery, blush-pink, 3" double flowers with 15+ petals on a great, repeat blooming plant. New Dawn is versatile enough to be grown as a Shrub or a Climber. She is a prolific repeat bloomer with a delightful, strong fragrance. New Dawn can tolerate colder temps down to zone 4 and also doesn’t mind dappled shade. A win all around!

Doing great in zone 6A

My New Dawn Roses are doing amazing. I have one that I purchased 3 years ago that is growing along a picket fence and is very healthy. I was so impressed with New Dawn that I purchased 2 more last year and they are doing amazing as well.

Disappointed Year One; Hopeful Year Two

Bought two plants. Both grew year one but neither bloomed. Am hopeful now that they are better established they will bloom.

2.5 hrs direct morning light and bright ambient light 6hrs

It’s doing great. It doesn’t care that it doesn’t get enough light, it’s leafing out wonderfully. And there’s a trellis for it so it will eventually get 6+ hrs of sun once it breaks over the hight of the fence. But I was worried that it wouldn’t get enough light to grow up from down on the ground in the first place. But it’s doing great! Portland, Oregon. North facing hill.
