Photos say it all! A 70th birthday gift in June to how it looks in September!
This is Golden Celebration on her second year in my garden. I wouldn't trade her for anything. She is a little floppy still... but survived my Zone 5a garden this past Winter like a champ. Probably in the top fragrant roses category, if you are seeking that.
I have had her in a container for a little over a month and already have a bloom! Look at her! She's more on the golden orange right now but I expect that to change in time. Pests love her! I've sprayed her with Dawn and water a few times after sundown and that has helped. I also have some lady bugs on order to tackle the issue. She is going to be a great climber for the front of my house. I've been fertilizing with Foxfarm GROW BIG and planted her in FoxFarm Ocean Blend and Frog soil. The roses just love it. These are my first roses and they arrived so healthy. Even my long-time rose growing neighbor is impressed. Her fragrance is also lovely. Thank you, Heirloom Roses, for such healthy plants.
