I have all but completely neglected this rose and she still performs beautifully.
I have been meaning to cut her back to train her, but right now she is living wild and loving it. Midday-evening sun, a handful of fertilizer in spring, some deep, infrequent watering. My cat also enjoys it. Zone 9A PacNW coastal
First time purchaser from Heirloom. Roses arrived when promised and to honest, they did not look too great. But, there was an explanation they were prepared that was for shipping. We got them into the ground and followed their directions on soil mix and planting. True to form, new leaves came out after a couple of weeks and here in Oct, we have buds. This rose and the other three are all doing great and very pleased with them and the supplements purchased.
With large blooms
I planted 2 of these in our local park here, near a stone wall. It has outperformed every other rose there--extremely healthy, vigorous and a heavy bloomer. It got up to a large size in a short time. It hardly gets any die back after a cold winter---very hardy-- zone 5b or 6a around here. It's never had any black spot. When I volunteer working there, I get asked about it often.
