The plant itself is very vigorous.
I planted it last fall (October-ish) and it is attaining impressive growth. I got the first flower a few days ago - and it is BEAUTIFUL. Some roses have flowers that look shapeless or messy, but not this one. A lovely, cupped shape with subtle shadings of color. Much more beautiful than the pictures suggest. (The smell is not very strong though)
It’s been almost one year and this rose shot up and has done a beautiful job! It arrived about 1 foot tall and has now exceeded 7 feet. The blooms continue even into a zone 9 winter with nighttime temperatures dropping to the mid 30s. So thankful I picked this one up! It’s not the cheapest rose plant, but it has done a remarkable job!! Well worth it!
Just planted her in my raised bed and did not expect any blooms for this season and she gave me a sneak peek of what’s to come for the Spring! It’s October in my zone 9a and already she’s putting on new growth and doing well!
I purchased one Wollerton Olde Hall mid-summer and fretted the past few months because we’ve been in a severe drought in central Ohio for the entire summer. Of course, this was the summer I decided to invest in a good number of Heirloom roses…
This little beauty established quickly and started throwing leaves like crazy. Did not expect much height the first, which is why I delayed putting up a trellis. Anyway, multiple canes are 4 feet tall and this is my first rose! I’m thrilled!
Would like to note that I ordered all of the planting supplies for my roses from heirloom; it was the smartest thing I’ve ever ever done. Despite the drought/high temps/insufferable heat index for most of the summer, the roses have done great.
