Fabulous

I purchased this rose over twenty years ago and it is still going strong! It handles the road salt by my mailbox without batting an eye and the bees absolutely adore it. I do nothing but prune for shape and this rose keeps stunning every year without being bothered by disease. The fragrance is outstanding and perfumes my entire yard. If you want a truly carefree rose, this is the one!

I love Rugosas, especially pink ones!

These rugosas are wonderful growers & don't demand a lot from us. I love it that most of them are very fragrant & don't get the usual diseases that some roses do. I am in love with
a white one with blooms that have lots of petals & look like tissue paper and a pink one that also has fluffy blooms. I just saw Fru Dagmar Hastrup and I have been reading good things about her so I'm excited to sign the waiting list along w/ Colleen. She also has great things to say about the Fru. I am thinking about two yellow rugosas as well. One is so lovely with fluffy blossoms & shiny foliage that I'm breaking my rule that every rose has good fragrance because this lovely one doesn't & she is so worthy of a place in a forever garden. If you haven't grown a rugosa yet, try one. You'll love it & may even get hooked on them like some of us have! Heirloom Roses has such a good selection of Rugosas as well as everything else they have. Many thanks to Heirloom!
