Beauty & the Beast Rose

The display picture doesn't do mauvelous justice. This morning she looks like the rose from beauty & the beast. I planted 2 of these in late June 2020 and 2 months later they have multiple sprays, they smell amazing, are growing fast and blooming like crazy. I'm so glad I ordered her despite the meh picture. I'm really enjoying people's reaction to the scent....... even during a pandemic people drop by, so I don't let them inside, instead I make them stay in the yard and smelling the roses is a good distraction!

Marvelous

In my garden, it's more a medium pink than mauve, but it bloomed for the first time during a heat wave, which may have altered the color. The blooms are about 2.5 - 3 inches and are not fully double like an Austin rose,; they remind me of butterflies.

What blew me away was the intensity of the fragrance. It's deep, rose with a hint of musk. It's still blooming and very fragrant, even though the temperature has dropped from the high 90s to the low 70s. This is a wonderful rose.
