Thrives in the Heat

Surprisingly this little guy has remained healthy despite record breaking 120F summer temps. I gave him morning sun and afternoon shade. The blooms have been much whiter since I moved the pot into the shade.

Blooms all summer

I planted 3 Moonlight in Paris roses in my 6b/7a garden back in March. By May they were all in bloom and have continued to grow and bloom ever since. I’ve fertilized twice, deadheaded occasionally, but they are thriving! Even at dusk you can see these flowers glowing. It’s the perfect name!

A treat for the eyes and nose

The rose I received experienced a lot of die back for the first few months I had her. I was in a lot of contact with Heirloom Roses and they told me to be patient and they sure were right! There has been a lot of vigorous growth and tons of sweet-smelling, glowy blooms in the first 6 months!

Beautiful Rose

At first I was not too impressed with this rose, but it has been blooming almost continuously since April (now August) and each set of blooms is more beautiful than the last. There is even a faint tea fragrance (maybe I am imagining it). The blooms are a beautiful cream, with blushes of yellow, pink and peach. The flowers last nicely on the plant and become almost white before the petals fall. The leaves are a nice medium green and the plant is not unattractive. Also the blooms hold up better than most of my roses in the warm weather here in Southern California.
