This rose's scent is divine. She's not a deep purple here in Coastal Texas; more of a pink-lilac that's somewhat represented by the photos. It's a lovely color that's very eye catching and her scent perfumes the yard wonderfully. I had a few problems the first year with black spot, but I didn't have any this year. Overall, very happy with this beauty.
This rose (Barbara is a Diva) did nothing for me last year, some new leaves that got scorched in our unusually hot summer in San Diego. … but this year is different, lots of new beautiful and healthy growth; two plump buds (more to follow in sure) that I can see. I’m so excited and like a crazy woman I do my rounds every afternoon talking to each rose bush. Looking them over (insects and decease), watching for any changes that may have occurred since the day before.
Spring looks promising, look forward to the color and the fragrance.
I am new to planting roses, and I have actually planted 27 new roses from Heirloom. The Streisand rose was the first to bloom and it was gorgeous. Both Streisand rose bushes bloomed when most others have not. Can’t wait until Heirloom grows some more! My favorite rose!
One of my very favorite roses! The fragrance will not disappoint. Blooms are beautiful and the color is, also. Leaves are as described. I’m in Zone 9 and she is thriving. I am sometimes disappointed with the rating for cutting - not with this one. Highly recommend.
