  • Black Pearl is bred from Papa Meilland and has a very intricate parentage with crosses from seven other rose varieties by Delbard in France. Vampire Velvet dream rose IN LOVE

Photo is 2 years after planting April 2023. Zone 6B west of Washington DC. In my Raised bed as we have wet clay soil ground here. Absolutely velvety breathtaking. I used mixture of LeafGRO, a little Black Kow manure, Shenadoah brand top soil and Mycorrhizal fungi.

Blooms within a month after planting. Again amending your soil is key. Amend as directed by HLR for great success. The blooms are beautiful and dark, but not quite as dark as I expected. I am hoping the color wil deepen with time.

Black Pearl

Just received about 2/3 weeks ago with little to no foliage due to extreme heat/shipping conditions. So far now she's got about 2/3 buds & is filling out nicely. Can't wait to watch this baby grow. Paired well with Black Baccara & Madonna for my trifecta "black rose" section.

Gorgeous

These are the prettiest blooms I’ve seen. We’re in Richmond, Texas and our bush is in a container.
