I am in Montana zone 4. I was hoping the coloring would be lighter and more similar the default photo however these are absolutely gorgeous! They are by far doing the best out of all my roses and still stunning from a distance. Full of blooms and the bush is full. We have a heavy presence of deer so they took a couple buds but it produces enough where you don’t even see a difference.
I am an experienced gardener, but I am brand new to growing roses. I ordered about 20 roses from Heirloom this spring in Zone 5b in Vermont. After two months in the ground, during a very rainy and mostly cool, spring, Carefree Wonder is one of the strongest! No signs of disease or pests. In the attached pictures, on a cloudy day, she brings a bright light to my garden. The blooms are a brighter pink, than I expected, but it’s not that bright reddish pink that sometimes you get tired of, but just a bright, deep pink. Absolutely beautiful! Probably the color of the blossoms will change as she matures but right now she’s gorgeous!
I'm brand new to gardening and this is my first attempt at growing roses. I followed all the directions and recommendations and she seems to be doing very well! Absolutely gorgeous!! I don't know if she is "carefree" bc I tend to her like a human baby child, lol, but I could probably ease up. Can't wait to see what she does with continued growth. Pics show the day I planted her vs. day 30 and 31
I ordered a Carefree Wonder Rose to replace one that got smashed in the hurricane. It's in a sunny bed with good drainage and rich loam. The little thing is taking off and has buds on it already! Very healthy strong plant.
