  • Don Juan produces scores of wonderfully large, dark velvety-red, full, cupped, 4" blooms with 40+ petals. He has a wonderful tea/fruity fragrance and is easily one of the finest of the red Climbers. The dark green, glossy, leathery foliage only adds to the intrigue of this striking plant. We recommend letting him show off against a white fence for added drama. Don Juan makes an excellent cut flower.

Solid red climber

I have it in a somewhat shady spot and it didn't bloom at all the first year, though out out a lot of solid growth along its trellis. Second year, first blush of flowers has been great.

Very dark, red burgundy buds that lighten as they open. The blooms hold their shape for longer then any of my roses.. Nice, pleasant scent. I'm growing to like to like this rose, more and more. Looking forward to seeing how how it does for the rest of the summer..
