I'm the odd one out

This is not one of my favorite roses out of the 75+ I have. While it is nearly thornless, and does have small pink pretty blooms, it's not the type of rose you can deadhead so there are always equally the number of dead blooms as there are new blooms which, to me, detracts from the appearance. I think I'm just not crazy about the tiny blooming roses in general - give me the big fat rose bloom anytime.

Cecile

I was so excited when I saw you had a Cecile bruener ! My mom had one in her garden and I remember as a child walking under the arbor to get to the clothesline. It was such a fond childhood memory so I had to have one! I was surprised at how fragile it seemed when it arrived but in less than a month it appears to have doubled in size! And it’s already weaving its way up my arbor. I can’t wait to see it’s sweet pale pink blooms. I am so happy with my rose. Thank you for offering it

Beautiful

This rose needs monthly care to keep it under control. Not a bad thing, just forewarning. It has thorns, so wear protection. It is a vigorous growing plant. Love mine and it's beautiful in bloom or not. The roses are not suitable for arrangements unless you know they may only last 1 day. And I call it the "monster" 😉 because it grows so fast.

NOT thornless

Chose this rose for a spot next to a walkway because it is described as thornless, but it most certainly is not! Not too many thorns, but the few that are there are pretty vicious. Will have to move it next spring.

Growing vigorously. Some 6-ft canes already. No bloom yet.

Love, love, love this rose!

I grew up with a huge Cecile Brunner that covered the side of our garage and loved the fragrance and petite flower bouquets for my dolls. Wonderful memories! Our children remember several Cecile Brunners on the bank in the back yard and those hardy, healthy beauties gave us many years of worry-free, practically maintenance-free joy until we moved last year; they are still beautiful. We wanted these same roses for our new house, couldn't find them locally, and decided to order on-line. We received two young plants a week ago from Heirloom, unpacked a couple of healthy, vigorous starts and are waiting for the current heat spell to break before we put them in the ground in a few more days. The nearly leafless shoots are popping out new leaves all over and already have three buds. Heirloom quality did not disappoint! Thank you!
