  • Other Details
  • Bred by one of the world’s top rose breeders, William Warriner, in 1972, this rose predates our nursery and is still going strong due to its unmatched color and sweet rose fragrance. She’s what we call “An Oldie but a Goodie!” Heirloom produces semi-double, 4-5" blooms with a petal count of 35. She has deep lilac-purple flowers on a vigorous, repeat blooming, upright plant. She is an excellent Hybrid Tea for zones 7-10 and a customer favorite.

Electron Thriving in Zone 5

I’ve had Electron for at least 15 years. She basks in full sun with about an hour of midafternoon sun. She regularly grows 6-7 feet tall. Needless to say, she’s the queen of that garden bed.

Stunning!

My husband planted our Heirloom rose about one month ago. This happened yesterday. She is gorgeous and her fragrance will knock you over! My favorite so far!

The rose that started it all!

While I didn’t purchase this rose from heirloom but rather on a clearance rack at a big box store (which I don’t suggest), I picked it up not being a “rose” person to give it a shot. This rose! Beginning of a love affair for me with roses. I just ordered 5 more new varieties from heirloom roses because of this rose! I know now why people love them. The color is absolutely stunning almost turning like a purple pink as it ages. And the smell is DIVINE heavenly! I just cut my first bloom to bring into the house so I can smell it all day. I definitely will be ordering more of these from heirloom roses after watching many videos on the quality and health of their plants.
