Changed Review

After the two plants I ordered had been in the ground for about two weeks, I truly thought they were dying because despite watering, they looked really wilted and had decreased foliage. However, these plants have become stronger in the last few days and seem to be determined to grow. I still think they would do best with afternoon shade as opposed to morning shade. They don’t love Tennessee heat.

Needs afternoon shade - doesn’t seem very hardy

I ordered two of these and may have to dig them up and move them. I planted them in a location that provides shade until high noon. After that it gets sun for about five hours. Both plants are clearly suffering and very wilted despite having been planted carefully in nursery mix without fertilizer and with frequent watering. My hope is that with time, They will either adapt or be strong enough for me to move to an area which gets more shade or at the very least afternoon shade as opposed to morning shade. These are behaving in sharp contrast to all of the heirloom roses I have purchased, so I am truly surprised. I have roses that started blooming within about four weeks of me planting them. Wish my little dears luck- they don’t look very well just now.
