  • HARDY AND BEAUTIFUL! Pearlescent™ is a continually blooming, intoxicatingly fragrant rose with hardy, cold resistance. This rose has some serious flower power as it produces picturesque white, double blooms from early spring to the first frost. The ruffled edges of the petals may exhibit some pink coloring as the weather gets colder.

Superb fragrance, more blooms than any in garden

I've grown this for years as Milwaukee Calatrava since winning it at auction at Longwood Gardens. Someone finally tipped me the new name. It is absolutely gorgeous, fragrance is overwhelming - just what a rose should smell like, the pure white with faint pink edges at times is gorgeous. The only flaw is the pant habit is a bit rangy and I hope to figure out how to better prune it. Advice welcome

What fragrance and color!

I purchased the Pearlescent earlier this summer. This is probably the third cluster of blooms, and every time about 7 buds develop at once! The real white of the flowers are gorgeous against black mulch and soil, and the pink edging is faint and beautiful. I have been fertilizing with the fish fertilizer. The fragrance of the rose is unbelievable; I cannot wait until it grows bigger and produces more blooms!
