Loving my Princess Buttercup

This rose was a birthday present from a dear friend who knows how much i LOVE The Princess Bride. Within a month of planting, I've had 3 full blooms and the plant has a bunch of new buds on it. I'm so excited!

So sorry to see her go...

I love Princess Buttercup, from The Princess Bride! And I love the exquisite fragrance of the cream colored blooms too. But. The black spot is hideous. I can't stop it, no matter what I do, and the poor plant looks so pathetic and only manages a couple dozen blooms in a year. Heavy sigh. I will have to replace her. I am in coastal Northern California. Zone 9a/10b.
