Lovely, very large, very double (80 petals) cupped blooms of cherry-red with a silvery reverse that sometimes opens quartered. When Peter Beales visited us he had high praise for 'Rose Gaujard'. He says in his book Roses that it is "rudely healthy". An upright, strong growing shrub rose covered with leathery, dark green, glossy foliage. Light fragrance. An excellent cut flower. Repeat bloom, very disease resistant and hardy zones 5-10.
