As good as both of the movies of the same name, Top Gun is the "best" and a must for any garden. This vigorous Shrub rose displays outstanding resistance to most major rose diseases with special resistance to Rose Rosette. The rounded, bushy plant produces vigorous stems ending in clusters of long-lasting, dark red flowers. We love him for his amazing flowering performance, outstanding clean foliage in most climates, and disease resistance.

Fine, healthy plant

My Top Gun arrived in excellent condition and is sprouting new growth with no sign of disease. Too early yet for it to be blooming.

Beautiful, vibrant, and prolific!

We lined in front of our front porch with these beauties, and they haven't disappointed! As of when I'm writing this, it's 2 years (3rd season) after planting. They bloomed well the first year; more the 2nd, and this spring, they're already COVERED in their bright red blooms! The best is that they bloom for most of spring through fall (I'm in NC, zone 7b).

Haven't had any problems with them AT ALL! Highly recommend!

Happy happy

I bought three this spring - gave one to my sister and found another one at a local grocery. All four roses are growing beautifully. They have bloomed all spring and summer. I love the color. I love the yellow center which makes the red pop. I live in Central Missouri. We haven't done a winter yet, but as big as my bushes got I'm sure there's some good roots down there.

Easy and Outstanding

When I was younger I was a test Rose evaluator for J&P. I am in my 50’s, and this is the Easiest and Most Productive breed of Rose I have ever grown. It just keeps blooming. I only fertilized my soul with manure when planting, and it has been three years, and these red blooming rose plants brighten our home like none other. We live in MI, zone 5. Most roses stop producing in the mid summer; this rose out beats every other rose I have ever grown.

Disappointed in color

Just planted this one about a month ago and has grown into a nicely shaped little bush with loads of blooms. My only disappointment is the blooms are a bright red(not a deep red as shown), fading to pinky reds rather rapidly. Nothing like the pictures. Closest picture is the one of the single bloom. Otherwise, great little shrub rose so far.
