Francis Meilland is an award-winning rose known for being an extremely disease-resistant Hybrid Tea. Named after a remarkable rose breeder, this rose has large, high-centered blooms of soft, shell pink that give off an old rose fragrance. The buds are substantially conical-shaped opening into very large, full, 5” blooms of 37 petals. This repeat blooming rose is perfectly framed against its glossy, dark green foliage. Flowers also drop off cleanly, making it great as a cut rose.

Rose success - couldn't have done it without you - truly

Francis Meilland is beautiful and the best smelling rose EVER! Can't believe you had this rose. The experience at purchasing this lovely rose on your website couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. The rose arrived just as viewed on your website. I followed your planting instructions exactly and it is doing very well, thank you.

I also want to mention that I had an existing Francis Meilland in my yard that I wanted to transplant but although I've had little problem with most plants, I have failed at transplanting roses, I hesitated but decided to try using your website instructions for transplanting. I must report that this oldie transplanted successfully. It was in shock for a couple of months, I worried maybe it wouldn't thrive - but it has its 1st bloom now - YIPEE!! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise along with your beautiful roses.

Gentle like a dream

I got about 10 different roses from Heirloom and this is by far my personal favorite. As a newbie to gardening, I lack the skills to fully understand and remember their needs and sometimes totally forget my flowers for a whole week due to my busy day job. All my roses from Heirloom survived. Some of them are out of shape/ overgrew, some of them have weaker stems. Bu this one turns out perfect by itself. And it has the perfect volume, perfect shape, very dreamy color and delightful classic aroma! I truly love it.

Arrived with little to no foliage but in a few weeks time, has now exploded with rich dark green leaves & is just about ready to put out his 1st blooms! So far so good.

Zone 7 Gem

I grow this in Oklahoma and it is thriving! It survived a very rare bitter cold snap after being planted last fall and is now thriving in the heat! A few beetles snacked on it but after taking care of that, it's been very disease resistant. I planted mint around my roses and used mint compost when first planting, and I do think that helps with the aphids when getting established. Can't wait to order more. The cream color has a warm orange/red undertone and pairs nicely in many different arrangements.
