The soil in my backyard in North Carolina is sandy, even though I live in the foothills, far from the coast. I have used living soil with every rose planted in the ground, as well as those grown in pots. My newly planted roses are doing well.
We planted Tess in the fall with a little bit of fertilizer. The soil is a horrible clay so I dug in a little garden soil. We had a couple of very cold periods for the Tacoma area. It got down to 19 degrees. She grew well in the spring. This summer has been hot with long periods with no rain. After 3 weeks with no rain I felt bad and watered so she wouldn't die. Last week we had a heavy rain and she is blooming! Amazing rose.
I've been waiting a couple of years for this little rose to become available again. I had her for two wonderful years, but in an unfortunate location at the corner of my driveway where Doordash and grocery deliveries and my own family ruffians kept running over her. I eventually lost her. But, as soon as she's available, I'm ordering two, one to plant in a better location and one for a container.
This rose never disappointed. Even when plowed down to three inches, it once sported a gorgeous rose that nearly glowed neon-pink. The color never faded, even in Texas' 100+ weather, this little bush always churned out vivid pink roses. It didn't have much of a scent the first year, but I remember a spicy-citrus scent the next. I've really missed my gorgeous little Electron rose these last couple of years and can't wait to have another!
I've tried other, and nothing comes close to "Omnimeal!". My neighbor's asked what I was using...told them about this food for plants! Never have I seen such green leaves, and beautiful blooms! I guarantee you, will be using this from now on!
This one was a little slower to grow than some of my others but is catching up nicely. No blooms so far but looking very healthy.
So far this is my favorite rose. It has grown super fast and this is its third bloom already. It seems to have a long vase life as well. Definitely happy about this one. Also has a very nice scent.
Just started using the mint compost as a top dressing on my roses, and I swear I have had no pest issues. They were wonderful with free delivery, and I also ordered a rose from
Them and it came in perfect condition it seems. 10/10!
Koko Loco loves my hot Central Florida heat. I planted her directly in the ground and she has bloomed repeatedly and her blooms last for days. This is her first year and she's a stunner. I can't wait for the years to come. Would highly recommend.
This coreopsis was packed beautifully. It had already developed leaves and buds and even a couple of flowers before I got it out of the box. I have been enjoying all the wonderful flowers. I have never spent $25 on a coreopsis plant before, but I had never seen a red and white one before either. I am happy with this purchase.
We've ordered probably 15 different roses and out of all of them I found this to be the easiest one. Blooms last for a week without looking all haggard. Seems that it pest resistant, sunburn resistant and a easy grow.
I bought this rose earlier in the summer and it stayed in its shipping box/bag for at least a month because the weather here was too hot to plant anything. It still managed to put on a bunch of new growth and buds. Then the buds opened to reveal the most beautiful pink-blue blossoms that have a lovely parfum. I did manage to get it planted and it seems to have tolerated its transplant with minimal upset. So far, this rose has been exceptional. I look forward to what it does now that it has proper growing conditions!
I planted her a few weeks ago when she arrived. She’s already blooming!! So exciting 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous soft cream color, seems very happy to grow and bloom even in the hottest time of year here. Zone8b can start burning roses by August but this beauty just keeps thriving. I will say it has not started climbing my trellis yet but we will get there!
Bought this gal about 2 months ago and she’s already had almost 10 blooms. Normally there’s a pretty big adjustment period as I pot my roses initially then transfer them to the ground a bit later. This lady immediately began to thrive in ground and has been blooming ever since. I love the really light green leaf color paired with her salmon colored blooms. Absolutely beautiful and handling the heat of the south really well here in Louisiana.
I live in zone 7 southeast New Mexico and we get some brutal heat. Two years ago i planted two Eden climbers on my pergola and they get all of the afternoon sun and heat. They have thrived despite it and have reached the top at 8 ft and now are climbing over the top!! I love this rose, as elegant and delicate as their large blissoms appear this rose is a tough cookie!
We bought 4 of these in June of 2024. When they first came I was worried for how small they were. They bloomed within a week and just keep growing. Now 14 months later they’re amazing and just keep growing and blooming all summer long. I would buy these over and over again.
I received this rose on July 23, not even a month later it has all new growth and its first bud is opening up. My picture doesn’t do the color any justice. It is more lavender in person. I love that it will do great in a container as I have it on my back porch.
I received this rose on July 23rd and not even a month later it had its first bud. I cannot wait. This rose is very healthy and has a lot of new growth.
I planted these end of May from rose only and by June it had tripled in size and I had my first bloom!! Since then it is now about 6-7 feet tall and has overgrown the trellis! It is also very full. The lush and thick quality has surpassed my expectations. And for the record I do not have a green thumb!!

Never have I smelled a rose as sweet as Earth Angel. Her perfume is intense and wonderful. I planted this rose along with others this spring and I’m loving Angel and her scent as well as that of Wollerton Old Hall. I’m also very lucky that I’m inundated with blooms from both.
In year two, this rose bush is a solid six feet tall with consistent deadheading. She’s vigorous and full, blooming nonstop in clusters from top to bottom. Early in the spring, her flowers were cupped and deep pink. As the summer got hotter, they’ve become pale pink and almost peony-like with tons of petals opening into a pompom. The Japanese beetles adore the blossoms but leave the foliage alone. With regular treatment, the pest situation stays under control.
I bought this rose a couple of months ago and planted into a container. The plant is still small, but new growth is showing up nicely. She even had two blooms already and both looked just like in the first picture - the color and the shape. So far so good. Looking forward to years with this beauty.
My Alnwick Rose stopped blooming and dropped all her leaves very early in year one. I was prepared to replace it this year, but she’s actually thriving now. Her large, warm pink flowers are always picture perfect and strongly scented. Definitely worth the wait.
