I bought this rose on a whim 3 years ago and it has exploded! It's nearly climbed an arbor. Super bloomer, thrives on neglect, flat out amazing. I don't use treatments or chemicals, and no, I mean zero, black spot or powdery mildew. Best of all, it's a true brown velvet tinged red to match my front door, and doesn't fade to pink or purple. Even the faded blooms are rich red. Absolutely fantastic.
I got Brick House last year at the end of May. It was small and scraggly at first, but soon leafed out and was the first of my three Heirloom roses to begin blooming.
And bloom it did! Beautiful crimson flowers, it was covered in them all season! It even survived our record-breaking heatwave and kept on blooming!
Now it's the following spring and many of my roses are just now starting to leaf out after our very harsh winter. But I'm pleased to say that Brick House is absolutely covered in leaves already, looking lush and with very minimal winter dieback! 10 stars for sure, this tough little rose is a powerhouse! She's mighty mighty, just lettin it all hang out!
This is a fantastic rose. Planted three last year and this season they have excelled. They did have a little black spot in the first year, but are doing better this year. lovely size and shape and wonderful color. Love this rose.
I have this rose since last year. it is truly a beauty, as stated, constant blooming, lots of blooms bright red colors.. I planted it in a large pot, I am not sure how many years I can keep it in there. If someone could let me know I would be appreciative to them. It is mid October here in New Jersey, I will have blooms for a while longer I think. Thank you.
